With the recent upgrades that
have been made to the Nordiska grand piano line for 2006, including new plates
and redesigned beam structuring to enhance their performance level, the
decision was made to roll out the instruments with new model names. Spurred by Geneva International Corporation,
the exclusive U.S. importer of Nordiska, Petrof and Weinbach pianos, to provide
the redesigned Nordiska pianos with distinctive model names, the new models
will carry letter designations such as Model B (4’8”), Model D (5’0”), Model G
(5’5”) and Model K (6’1”). To aid in
the identification of the Nordiska Master Series models, these pianos will
incorporate the use of vowels into their model names, such as the Model E
(6’1”), Model O (7’0”) and Model Y (9’0”).
“The new model names add a
well deserved sense of class to the Nordiska piano line and provide a
distinction between Nordiska pianos and those pianos who claim to be ‘just like
Nordiska,’” remarked Geneva International president, Earl Matzkin.
In conjunction with the new
model identity for Nordiska, Geneva International has developed a booklet that
will assist Nordiska dealers and their customers in identifying the vast
differences between Nordiska pianos and their competitors. Soundboards, hammers, bridges and
craftsmanship are just some of the topics that are covered in illustrating the
superior quality of Nordiska pianos.
The “Benefits of Owning a Nordiska” booklet also provides detailed
answers to some of the most frequently asked questions by consumers on their
quest for a new piano.
“It is our hope that Nordiska dealers will use the booklet as a tool to give their customers an idea of what to look for as they evaluate pianos by various manufacturers,” said Matzkin, “We want to make the customer more aware of the features and benefits of Nordiska while providing them with a clear analysis of what a Nordiska piano will bring into their life.”
